1. Who are Vaios Optical glasses for?

Our glasses are meant for both adults and children who are spending more than two hours daily in front of digital screens. Whether you spend a lot of time in front of a computer or in front of digital devices (e.g. tablets, smartphones), your eyes need protection.

Prolonged use of computers, tablets, smartphones, and too much time spent in front of the TV, makes an increasing number of people face blurred vision, eyestrain, fatigue or headaches. The blue light exposure from digital screens can affect your body’s ability to produce melatonin and cause falling asleep difficulties at night.
We offer a diverse collection for adults and a special collection for the little ones.

2. How Vaios Optical lenses work?

Our polycarbonate lenses are meant to protect your eyes from blue light and UV radiation. The lenses with VO Blue Light filter reduce the harmful wavelengths of blue light. Furthermore, they also decrease the ultraviolet light reflected by the external surface, ensuring the user has a clear view. Our combination of lenses along with the frames are perfect for people with sensitive skin, are hypo-allergenic, and made of light TR90 material or high-quality injection moulded plastics with metal.

3. What percentage of Blue light do the lenses block?

Our lenses block 100% of the blue light in some parts of the spectrum. Overall, they block more than 50% of the blue light, thus providing strong protection while still being clear and stylish. The lenses tend to have a slight amber tint, this is for your own protection as it increases the contrast, for a clearer view.

4. Vaios Optical glasses filter UV light?

Our lenses reduce exposure to UV light and decrease the harmful wavelengths of the blue light. This means that our glasses protect your eyes even when you spend a long time outdoors in natural light or near surfaces reflecting the ultraviolet light.

5. Do you offer prescription lenses?

We offer non-prescription glasses specially designed to improve comfort over long periods of screen usage. At present, our company does not support prescription lenses, however we are working on providing such products in the future.

6. Are all the frames Unisex?

Our models are unisex and fit perfectly to a variety of face shapes.

7. How to protect my glasses?

Our glasses will be delivered in a case, together with a microfibre cloth. The cloth can be used to clean the lenses and the case can be used to store and protect the glasses. In case more intensive cleaning is needed, you can use warm water and non-acidic liquid soap. We recommend not leaving the glasses wet for too much time and avoiding abrasive products while cleaning them.

8. Are the VO glasses and lenses safe and compliant?

All our glasses frames and lenses are CE conform and BS EN ISO compliant. That means the products meet the European Union standards. The CE stands for "Conformité Européenne" which means European Conformity, and is only marked on those products that meet consumers’ safety, health and environment standards. The British Standard BS EN ISO ensures that the glasses lenses offer a safe level of protection.

9. Purchasing a gift card

When purchasing a gift card you will receive an email with the gift card and a unique voucher code. Use this voucher code at checkout to redeem its value.

1. What is your Shipping policy?

We are happy to inform that we ship in most places in the world. Please check out our Shipping policy.

2. How much are the shipping costs?

The costs depend on the location of the customer. There is a FREE SHIPPING policy for most European Union countries. For worldwide orders more than 70€ we also provide FREE SHIPPING. For orders outside the EU economic zone, customs duties and taxes might apply. You can contact your local post office for further information.

3. Do customers outside the EU have to pay customs duties/VAT?

Every country has its local tax code so any custom duties/VAT are the sole responsibility of the customer. From our side, there is a FREE SHIPPING policy to many parts of the world, so we cover any transport costs but we cannot take responsibility for any custom duties or VAT. You can get in touch with your local post office or local customs office and learn more about any potential charges.

4. Is there a Return or Exchange Policy for my glasses?

Please check our Refund Policy.

There are countries where the law supports employees to have an ergonomic workplace and rules concerning computer screen work are regulated. In that scenario, they may be obliged to reimburse you for your VO pair of glasses.

You can check Working Conditions regulations on your Government’s website or your company’s policy for more information.
In case you have vision insurance, beware we do not work with any insurance providers at the moment. However, your purchase might be reimbursable in case your insurance covers the side effects of blue light.
